I thought I was dreaming when, on my way to the pharmacy, I discovered a farm behind a typical, dreary strip mall in south Florida, and suspended my disbelief as I picked luscious strawberries from the weirdest strawberry field I've ever seen.
Enter the Girls Strawberry Patch (right next to Dan's Fan City), go out the back door and voila -- a working farm! |
This is the first view after existing the Girls' store back door. |
These strawberries are grown in these strange containers, but the picking is very easy. | |
One is instructed to cut the strawberries from the plants; scissors and buckets provided. |
Not one to leave well enough alone, I made chocolate covered strawberries for my mother and Aunt Toots. |
