Are you a coffee drinker? I'm going to guess my blood type is coffee. Seriously, I can't start my day without it. Cannot. Trust me when I tell you that you don't want me to start my day with out it! ;) Not only do I start my day with copious amounts of caffeine, but I'm one of those people who drink coffee all day long - hot or cold, it doesn't matter. I love it all.
Unlike other arts of the country, the weather here in Phoenix has been wonderful for the past few weeks. We had some rain yesterday, but nothing major - and definitely nothing like what some of the rest of the country is faced with! Yikes! (Be safe Midwest and East Coast peeps!)
Some of you may remember that we had a pool put in our yard last Spring. Sometimes in the mornings, I like to go sit by the pool (even though the water is too cold for swimming right now) and drink my coffee. I have to admit, that has become one of my favorite things to do. Our neighborhood is so quiet - and I just love watching the sun come up over the mountains. Arizona is so beautiful, y'all. I never thought I would hear myself say that I love living in the desert!
Back to the pool .... After the pool was filled last Spring, we kept noticing a part of the dirt on one side of the pool was always wet - even when we weren't using the pool. Of course, we called the pool company back out only to find out we had a crack in the plaster around one of the return lines. They patched it up so we could still use the pool for the Summer, but told us they would be back over the Winter so they could actually take care of the problem. An empty pool is not pretty to look at, y'all. I'm glad the pool company was back out this week to fix the problem with the plaster and the pool has been refilled! I get to enjoy my morning coffee out by the pool again!
This week, I also had the opportunity to hold a tasting party with a few of my friends. Some of you may have seen the new Skinny Cow Creamy Iced Coffees in your local stores. I love trying new products and I especially love sharing good food and drinks with my friends. We didn't have a big soiree, just a few light snacks and plenty of Skinny Cow Creamy Iced Coffees. Although all of the flavors were great, the Creamy Cappuccino seemed to be the slight favorite among my guests. Personally, I loved the Vanilla Latte the most!
I'm thinking once the weather warms up a bit more and we can officially open the pool for swimming, we're going to have to do a poolside brunch with a few friends - and plenty of Skinny Cow Creamy Iced Coffee!
