Today I have the best news! Alice Arndell from Alice in Bakingland is coming to Kiwicakes Saturday 8th March, 12 noon-3pm. She will be signing copies of her book Alice in Bakingland, which will be available for purchase (if you already own a copy bring it along for her to sign). She will be giving a macaron making demonstration. There will also be a few other surprises.

Alice was a contestant on season three of Chelsea NZ's hottest home baker, the same series our Kiwicakes friend Esme appeared in. Alice describes herself as a stay-at-home mum of one (Isobel, three and budding chef), navy wife (married to Shane, naval officer and currently Commanding Officer of HMNZS Te Mana), budding food writer, avid reader and “hot’” home baker! She lives in the beautiful South Wairarapa town of Martinborough, a wine growing region an hour north of New Zealand’s capital city Wellington.
