Christmas is just a little over two weeks away and although I got off to a late start on my holiday shopping this year, I'm happy to say that I am mostly done! Man, it feels good to say that - I was worried that some of my online orders might not make it to me on time if I procrastinated too much longer! I still have to wrap the majority of the stuff, but at least, it's bought, right?!
Brian and the kids are planning on heading over to grandma's this weekend - and I'm staying home to get some things done. I have some things I need to take care of for the blog - so, it will be nice not having all of the distractions around so I can focus! I might even take advantage of having everyone out of the house to go on a wrapping spree!
Brian and I decided we wanted to keep things a little more simple his year. We realized that our kids just have soooooo much stuff! Too much stuff, to be honest. We've donated a bunch of things they don't need or use - and we have no intentions of bringing a bunch of needless stuff back into our house! Don't get me wrong, they will still have a nice Christmas, there just won't be 500 presents!
As I was doing our shopping, I realized that I had a few people on my list that I wasn't really sure how to express how thankful we are for them! Whether it was a neighbor who shares their garden bounty with us throughout the year, an aunt that always calls to see how things are going or the landscaper who saved your lemon tree from dying - this is the time of the year to show them how important they are to us and how much we appreciate them!
We picked up several boxes of the Hershey’s KISSES Deluxe Chocolates. They're new and they are the perfect way to say more! We picked up a few gift cards to restaurants to stick in Christmas cards to go along with the chocolates.
