Here at Kiwicakes life usually revolves around sweet treats. However this week, we've had an added bonus of preparing for a little something different. I wanted to share it with you because.................... in all the time I've been with Kiwicakes, I've found you all to be quite a crafty bunch (scrapbooking, sewing, quilting, knitting - to name just a few). And this Sunday Grandma Kiwicakes (who in real life is an antique dealer) and ME! will be at the vintage textiles fair at Alexandra park in Greenlane Auckland Sunday 10am-5pm. But it's not just textiles, you'' find all sorts of things to do with fashion, such as buttons, lace, trims, handbags or purses, costume jewellery, hats, gloves, hatpins vintage clothing. Books on all of these subjects and of course vintage doilies, handwork & fabrics. It's a fun day, I never come home without having bought something. Grandma Kiwicakes will be exhibiting and selling this awesome selection of vintage saris, with cool retro designs, along with all sorts of other goodies. if you're coming - pop over & say hi! (we're just inside the main door on the left hand wall. Hope to see you there.
